 Hey, I’m Sam. And this is my dog, Rambo.

The idea for this app came to me in the middle of a pet store. I was standing in the aisle, surrounded by at least thirty big bags of dog food, digging through their ingredients. Time must’ve slipped away, because when I looked up, a woman was staring at me, clearly puzzled. I smiled and explained that my dog had allergies—he’s a Staffie, and his sensitive stomach couldn’t handle most of these ingredients.

Right then, a Pitbull came tearing around the corner, dragging a man behind him. The dog ran straight for me, knocked me over, and began licking my face. I took it as a sign.

Turns out, this couple was there for the same reason. They’d just adopted the dog from a local shelter and realized the mess in their yard wasn’t from stress or eating grass—it was the food they were feeding him. They’d been watching me pull down bag after bag, just as confused as I was. That’s when it hit me: there are probably tons of people dealing with this exact problem. And that’s how Feed Right was born.

I love dogs—people, I tolerate. But seriously, dogs make life better. So when I say this app isn’t just a side project, I mean it. It’s a lifelong mission to care for the best creatures on Earth.
